Description
The current flagship of Riva’s flybridge fleet, the 110 Dolcevita is a 33.5-metre (110ft) high-performance yacht with a fast planing hull, two main decks of accommodation and a separate raised pilothouse. Built in fibreglass to RINA classification, her design is the result of a collaboration between Oficina Italiana Design and Ferretti Group’s in-house engineering department. She measures 7.3m (23ft 10in) across the beam and has a moderate draught for her size of 2m (6ft 6in).
The stand-out features of her streamlined exterior include sociable open-air seating in a Portuguese bridge, one set of sunpads on the coachroof and another on the upper foredeck, which slides forward to reveal a large spa pool. She has a notably spacious flybridge with four helm seats up front, a bar and lounge seating amidships under the shade of a big hardtop, and a broad open-air deck astern.
The aft cockpit is almost completely shaded by the long overhang of the flybridge, with U-shaped banquette seating astern around a large convertible table. Straight steps lead down on both sides of the stern to the bathing/boarding platform. In the standard configuration, the transom garage has a top-opening door and space for a large PWC as well as a good-sized main tender.
With 219GT of internal volume on the main and lower decks, she has been designed with two accommodation layout options offering either five or four double guest cabins. In both versions the owner’s cabin is of course a full-beam suite located forward on the main deck with an aft-facing bed on the centreline, spacious en suite heads with his & hers sinks, and access via a private passageway leading forward from the main communal areas on the port-hand side of the yacht.
The saloon is open plan, comprising a formal dining area amidships and lounge seating area astern, flanked on both sides by generously wide companionways running forward from the aft cockpit outside the very large saloon windows. The galley is forward and to starboard.
Down on the lower deck, the five-cabin version has four almost identical large double guest cabins with en suite heads and shower. In the four-cabin version, the aft pair of guest cabins are combined to make a second full-beam VIP suite with similar proportions to the master suite above. Both versions have crew accommodation forward on the lower deck, with separate access. This includes a captain’s cabin, a messroom and two bunkrooms in the bow.
Twin MTU 16V 2000 M96L diesel engines give a top speed of 26 knots and a cruising speed of 23, with a range of around 400 to 430 miles.
