The American-built 98ft (29.9m) sailing yacht WINDCREST has been sold after just five months on the market with Burgess.

This beautiful ketch is the product of a highly experienced build team, showcasing construction by the renowned Hodgdon Yachts of East Boothbay Maine, naval architecture and exterior design by the Fontaine Design Group, interior design by Bunny Williams, and project management by Jon Barrett Associates.

Following the appointment of Burgess as Central Agency in March 2017, the Miami and New York offices represented both buyer and seller in closing a deal dockside in Newport, Rhode Island on 12 July 2017. The sale of WINDCREST marks the eleventh sailing yacht sold by Burgess in the past 18 months, all averaging 40.1m (131.6ft) in length.

WINDCREST has proven her sailing prowess; she is equally at home navigating the rocky outcrops of New England as she is on the race circuits of the Caribbean. Her underwater profile was designed for shallow bay and deep water sailing alike, while her adjustable swing centreboard draws a powerful 17.8ft (5.4m) with board down for upwind sailing but a mere 7.8ft (2.4m) with board up.

The asking price was USD 5,450,000.
