Equally at home in the Caribbean or the Arctic, SHEERGOLD is an immensely capable ocean cruising yacht with go-anywhere voyaging potential. She’s designed to host eight guests in a four-cabin layout with service from a crew of eight, or up to 10 guests with six crew. She is fitted with Starlink technology to ensure a fast, reliable Internet service wherever you decide to take her, and has stabilisers to smooth her motion at anchor.
The stand-out feature is her Bannenburg-designed interior. The main deck lounge is an open plan living room with exceptionally fine joinery, two lounge areas and a grand dining area that can be enclosed for intimate fine dining. The aft end of the lounge opens onto the main deck aft, which is a snugly sheltered outside lounge-dining space.
An impressive corridor leads into the master suite, up front on the main deck level, where you’ll find his-and-hers study desks, sweeping views of the sea through four big windows, a super wide-screen TV and a king size double bed on the centreline of the main cabin. The en suite master bathroom has a jacuzzi bathtub, gold fittings and a very high standard of finish. Here too, you’ll have a great view of the sea.
Spiral steps lead down from the main deck lounge to a beautiful lower deck foyer. The star attraction on this level is a full-beam VIP suite with a sofa, a study desk and a luxurious en suite bathroom. The other two cabins are twins, with extra pullman berths and private en suite facilities.
The upper lounge on the bridgedeck level is a sociable and versatile living room, also beautifully restored with many of its original features preserved. It’s bright and airy with a grand sweep of panoramic windows and double doors leading out onto the upper aft deck. This is a long, broad and open expanse of traditional laid teak with classic mahogany rails all round. An awning slides out to shade the dining table and there’s a semicircle of sofas astern with a large parasol.
The top deck is an open sun deck with full-beam sunpads facing forward. Other key features include an open-air cinema, movie and music libraries and a 5.6m (18.4ft) RIB tender. Her watersports inventory includes SeaBobs, eFoils, a jetski and more.
