Exterior designer Andre Hoek took his inspiration for BLUE II from a project to convert a 1960s working vessel.
That project, along with the iconic ocean going tug HOLLAND, defined her sweeping sheerline and elegant canoe stern, the evocative decklights, dorade vents and funnel.
A tradition of modern classics
Hoek Design has an enviable track record of capturing the grace and elegance of bygone years with a range of classically inspired sailing yachts, including several J Class beauties.
This project allowed the studio to bring to bear all of that expertise and inspiration in the motoryacht sector. The result is a yacht of immediate and powerful appeal, one that is absolutely unmistakable and one that defies the vagaries of fashion.
Her interiors, by Hoek and British design studio Vickers, are characterised by a relaxed elegance that mirrors her functional aesthetic. A restrained palette of gloss teak furniture and cabinetry with white painted bulkheads framing cream coloured wall panels produces an ambiance of carefree refinement.
Add to that a dedicated gym, a wellness centre with sauna and hammam, plenty of toys and a folding swim platform on the port side and she has everything any charter party could possibly need, all delivered in genuinely timeless style.

Relaxing and welcoming
Noteworthy highlights include the upper deck's sky lounge with natural light through an arc of skylights and full height glass doors opening onto the aft deck with open air dining and a sun lounge.
The huge expanse of main deck aft conceals two tenders beneath hatches and a crane to launch them, and there is a folding swim platform on the port side. Guests in the oak-floored main saloon have a lounge and dining area aft, along with a bar and coffee station, and a media lounge area forward. These two spaces are separated by a bookcase housing the TV, one that rotates so that the TV can also serve the lounge area.
She has two master suites, one on the main deck and a second on the upper deck, both with en suites clad in spectacular orbicular marble. The lower deck has two double suites, a twin cabin and a convertible cabin, all benefitting from a surprising amount of natural light.
Silent nights
Her high-tech credentials extend to her engine room where her state of the art hybrid propulsion system means lower noise, vibration, emissions and fuel bills, especially when paired with a hull as sleek and streamlined as this one. This technology also means you really can have a very peaceful night at anchor with two sets of zero speed stabilisers to keep everything on an even keel.
