Digital Marketing Executive, London

We are looking for a passionate Digital Marketing Executive (Search & Social) to take day to day responsibility for the digital marketing activity at Burgess. You will develop all performance media channels as well as social media to deliver sales and customer growth/retention for the business.

You will

  • Develop, implement and manage the digital marketing plan to deliver sales, visitors and customer growth through SEO, PPC, email, paid social and display advertising.
  • Drive digital marketing campaigns from concept to delivery including tracking, attribution and review.
  • Manage the relationship with the digital marketing agencies and third party partners.
  • Ensure all digital channels are performing against target and achieving effecting ROI.
  • Manage email marketing from planning to send and create a programme of test activity and new initiatives to mine the customer database for increased ROI.
  • Development of a continuous test & learn approach to all acquisition channels to ensure they are fully optimized and driving the maximum return for the business.
  • Work collaboratively with the Digital Marketing Manager and wider marketing team to plan the content calendar and leverage all content across the digital marketing channels.
  • Manage the digital media investment across all paid media.
  • Define budgets across all performance channels and forecast the business contribution of each.
  • Identify new opportunities recurrently (campaigns, new channels, different execution) to maximize traffic and drive revenue.
  • Own reporting & analysis on acquisition channel activity against KPI’s ensuring performance clearly communicated to key business stakeholders as relevant
  • Use data & analysis to further decision making and present this data in a meaningful way to key stakeholders to help influence future activity initiatives
  • Work closely with internal teams and relevant agencies to develop and optimise the online user experience
  • Proactively monitoring the latest trends and making suggestions where necessary.
  • Assist the Digital Marketing Manager with the overarching digital marketing strategy.

    Must haves

  • Experience working in digital marketing and eCommerce, ideally working across PPC, paid social, SEM, retargeting, SEO and emails
  • Experience in luxury/retail/yachting background highly advantageous
  • Solid understanding of the various tools of performance marketing and how to leverage these to deliver quality site traffic and deliver sales.
  • Strong commercial acumen and results focused with a track record of driving profitable and measurable results.
  • Experience in managing third-party agencies to devise strategies and deliver results.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience of building commercially focused online marketing reporting.
  • Experience in the creation and seeding of strong, targeted online content to drive traffic and sales
  • Experience of budget management and online marketing reporting.
  • Technically proficient with experience of working across multiple eCommerce platforms and systems, e.g. Google Analytics, Facebook Business Manager, Dotmailer, Google Adwords, and Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Intermediate/advanced user of Photoshop, Dreamweaver, HTML highly advantageous.
  • Experience working across multiple countries will be highly regarded.

  • Crew Administrator
    The role:

    Reporting to the Crew Manager, you will assist him/her in their daily duties. You will work in the Crew Management Team working with the Assistant Crew Manager, Crew Recruitment Administrator. Crew Admin Assistant and the Crew Manager (Monaco). You will work alongside the Yacht Managers, the Safety & Security Manager, the Accounts Manager and their Assistants. You will work closely with the personnel of Burgess Crew Services (Guernsey) PCC Ltd (BCS).

    Duties:

    Recruitment

  • Assist Crew Recruitment Administrator with recruitment using Crew HR software (Infinity). Have an in-depth knowledge of its capabilities and assist with its development so that optimum usage is achieved.
  • Assist with the selection and recruitment of Burgess and BCS managed yacht crew. Assist other departments within the Company with crew recruitment including fees.

    Crew Administration

  • Undertake the crew administration for BCS managed yachts. Work with BCS to ensure that all paperwork is prepared correctly and issued. This includes but is not limited to:
  • assisting with crew recruitment
  • checking crew documentation and certificates
  • preparing Seafarer Employment Agreements (SEAs) or letters of employment
  • assisting with the processing of the monthly salaries including the funding request letters
  • preparing other employment related paperwork including mortgage application letters and termination letters
  • Be familiar with all aspects of Burgess Manage (in-house ISM database) crew related areas.
  • Assist with the crew administration for all Burgess managed yachts and Burgess Crew Services (Guernsey) PCC Ltd (BCS) crew managed yachts specifically training and certification.
  • Assist with the maintenance of crew records on Burgess Manage (the in-house management database), including checking crew certification. This will include regular audits of crew records to ensure they meet with current legislation.
  • Assist with queries about crew certification and qualifications/ audits.
  • Have knowledge of and, as required, assist with the maintenance of crew records in line with the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC, 2006) and International Safety Management (ISM) requirements and with current legislation.
  • Update CRM (the Burgess Client Relationship Management software) with any relevant industry information.
  • Provide cover for Crew Recruitment Administrator, Crew Admin Assistant and Yacht Management Assistant.
  • Issue Yacht Rating and Navigation and Engine Room Watch Rating certificates.
  • Cadetships – liaising with yachts and implementing cadet training programme.
  • Any other task reasonably requested. 

    The successful candidate will have the following attributes:

  • A proven ability to use Microsoft Office products to intermediate level. Experience using any HR software would be a distinct advantage

  • No prior knowledge of yachting is required. However, any understanding of this area or experience of dealing with high net worth individuals would be of benefit to any applicant.

  • Yacht Management Assistant, Monaco

    We are currently recruiting for a full time Yacht Management Assistant in our Monaco office. Reporting to a Yacht Manager, you will assist the Yacht Manager in his/her daily duties and be his/her primary point of contact.     We are currently recruiting a self-motivated retail broker for our Charter division based in the USA.

    The broker will serve as an integral part of the Burgess team and deliver the high standards synonymous with the Burgess brand.   • Technical Manager, London

    Reporting to the Fleet Technical Manager you will provide technical management and support to assigned vessels within the Burgess managed fleet. You will work closely with existing Burgess Management teams worldwide.

    Duties:-

  • Technical Management of assigned vessels including Yachts, Passenger Yachts and Passenger Ships.
  • Adhere to all approved technical, safety and security procedures and contribute to their development; update technical contact information on company IT systems and manage any relevant technical documentation.
  • Provide interpretation of Class Rules and other related regulations; manage Class society block fee agreements; Monitor class survey schedules and requirements; Liaise with attending Class and Flag surveyors to ensure all items are dealt with satisfactorily.
  • Promote the effective use of PMS systems and appropriate conditioning monitoring techniques; assist with establishing Planned Maintenance Systems and ensure PMS contains all flag, class, builders, manufacturers and company requirements; review maintenance reports and provide feedback.
  • In partnership with the Yacht Manager, create a long term plan of major works.
  • Review all reported defects, analyse any significant defects and introduce measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Manage dry docking and refits; create refit specifications, shortlist suitable shipyards and manage tendering process; monitor refit costs, quality and schedules; attend on-board yacht or at shipyard for planning and progress meetings as required; provide support with warranty claims on completion of refit.
  • Provide round the clock support in the event of technical difficulties; duty manager rota and emergency response team participation; provide general technical and commercial advice and guidance; provide assistance with Insurance Claims.
  • Review any relevant manufacturer’s bulletins and service publications relating to on-board main machinery and ensure any remedial actions required are undertaken.
  • Assist with requests for urgent spares or services and manage the relevant logistics.
  • Ensure an adequate fluid sampling and analysis programme is adhered to. Review analysis reports, provide advice as required ensuring any resulting actions required are dealt with on a priority basis in line with maintenance or refit planning.
  • Ensure all yachts lifting gear is regularly inspected and certified.
  • Provide concise monthly Status reports for your assigned yachts to the Yacht Manager.
  • Undertake regular Technical Inspections on-board and ensure all items raised during inspections are clearly reported and followed up.
  • Ensure any costs related to Technical Management services have prior approval by the Yacht Manager.

    The successful candidate will have the following attributes:-

  • Formal Education in Marine/Engineering/Naval studies to diploma or degree level.
  • 3+ Years shore side superintendent experience or similar role.
  • 10 + Years seagoing experience in an engineering capacity to at least merchant Class 2 Level or equivalent.
  • Previous experience of technical management of passenger vessels is essential, knowledge or experience of passenger yachts or large yachts would be beneficial.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels (dealing with Captains, Chief Engineers, Chief Officers, Owners Representatives and colleagues).
  • Effective at problem solving and multi-tasking.
  • Sound knowledge of Classification, Flag, ISM/ISPS, SOLAS, Passenger Yacht, Large Yacht Code, etc requirements.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English. Proficiency in other languages may be beneficial.
  • Ideally the candidate will already be living within commuting distance of London and be eligible to work in the UK.
  • Good sense of humour!
  • A self-starter capable of working independently but also collaborating as part of a busy multi-functional team.
  • Able to travel worldwide.
