If you’re looking for an incredible next-generation sailing yacht with a massive wow factor, look no further. Due for delivery at the start of the 2024 sailing season and available for charter in the Mediterranean, the 47-metre (153ft) ARTEXPLORER is the largest aluminium sailing catamaran in the world. Staying on board and sailing her is going to be a truly unique experience. She’s designed to host groups of up to 12 guests on board in six cabins, three of which are on the main deck.

Built by the esteemed Perini Navi shipyard, ARTEXPLORER is a seriously impressive showcase of innovative, sustainable technologies and contemporary design. With an immensely powerful, fully automated, all-carbon fibre rig and sailplan, her sailing performance will be exceptional even in very light winds. In most conditions she should be able to match the cruising speed of a big motor yacht without any engine noise, vibrations or emissions – running in almost complete silence, powered only by the wind. She will generate a lot of her own electrical power, too, with a giant array of solar panels producing up to 200kW per day.

Thanks to her super-wide beam of 17 metres (55ft), her motion at sea is sure to be inherently smooth and steady – quite unlike a monohull yacht, with no need for power-hungry active stabiliser systems. There is an amazing amount of space on deck and also within her bridge deck accommodation, which is twice as wide as the main deck lounge of a 50-metre monohull yacht.

The master suite, up front on the main deck and almost fully glazed on three sides, will have breathtaking 180-degree panoramic views and an abundance of natural light. There’s also a huge lounge, a very large dining room and a library on the main deck level, a beach club-style terrace on the foredeck and an outdoor dining area on the main deck aft that can seat up to 16 people around a square table. Her flybridge layout includes a spectacular sundeck lounge and dining space that takes full advantage of her prodigious beam.

She comes with two tenders: a 16-metre (52ft) Windy chase boat with blistering performance and a seven-metre RIB with beach landing steps so you can step effortlessly ashore. A full inventory of small craft and watersports toys will also be available.
