Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez

This famed regatta launched a new format in 2020 and extended the event to two weeks to make sure that the experience ashore is every bit as rewarding as the sailing. The first week's racing is contested by modern and classic yachts up to around 20m (65ft) in length and the second week sees the world's finest maxi yachts assemble for some spectacular racing.

The event began, as so many do, with a friendly challenge. In 1981 two yachts devised a challenge to race from Tour de Portalet at the base of the town quay, around the turning mark of Nioulargo, translating as deep nest, to the finish of Pampelonne Beach's legendary Club 55.
