Favourite all time yacht: TALITHA G, beautiful lines, completely timeless
Secret anchorage: Powderhorn Island, Sheepscot River, Maine
Best place to arrive by yacht: Taha’a, French Polynesia, via a break in the reef with locals surfing the tubes either side of you!
If there’s one place to experience: Baja California for the remarkable sea life

At 89 metres, HERE COMES THE SUN is a Northern European powerhouse of space, style, and sophistication. Already the largest Amels ever delivered, with exteriors by Tim Heywood and Winch Design interiors, she was rebuilt at the Amels yard in 2020-21 with a 6m (19.7ft) extension. This DNV-GL-classed steel and aluminium yacht emerged to universal acclaim as an 89m (291.9ft) yacht with a full repaint and a host of enhancements, winning Best Rebuilt Yacht at the World Superyacht Awards 2022.
With two helipads, a vast beach club and spa, cinema, gym, and accommodation for 20 guests, she’s made for those who expect more from every moment at sea. This is yachting without limits.
Ian Sherwood
Yachting creds: I owned my first boat at 12 years old and once raced to Portugal on a tall ship
Best broker moment so far: I sell boats not insurance, they are all great moments!
Favourite all time yacht: CLOUDBREAK, the 75m Abeking and Rasmusen: Purpose built for adventure, everything the ‘outdoorsman’ could ever wish for!
Best secret anchorage: Lord Howe Island, 600nm off the Australian East Coast
Best place to arrive by yacht: Nærøyfjord, Norway. A UNESCO heritage site, the narrow fjord with mountains towering either side. Photos will never do it justice, so I suggest you go
Favourite saying: Nihil sine labore (nothing without work – and yes we had to look that one up)
Ian's favourite yacht for sale: FOX
Delivered in spring 2024 by Pendennis in Falmouth, FOX is a bold 34.9m (114.3ft) explorer yacht with interiors by Q London. Named after one of Falmouth's most famous sons – Robert Were Fox the Younger – she embodies the spirit of adventure in a rare, truly capable vessel of her size. Built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure to RINA commercial standards, she blends rugged performance with refined comfort.
FOX’s powerful exterior is paired with bright, beach-house-inspired interiors, offering five guest suites for ten guests. Her standout feature is the vast 103.5sqm (1,114sqft) main deck aft, designed to carry an exceptional range of toys, tenders, and even submersibles – launched by twin 2.5T deck cranes. Once clear, the space transforms for open-air dining, DJ sets, and lounging. The upper deck hosts a glass-walled media lounge, terrace with BBQ, and panoramic sidedecks. With a 3,000nm range and CMC stabilisers, FOX is built for serious exploration without compromising style or comfort.
Charles Jones
Yachting creds: Growing up on the lakes of Canada, a 30-foot Boston Whaler once felt like a massive boat. But after spending the past decade living in Monaco and Miami, I’m fortunate enough to continually visit some of the most magnificent yachts ever built
Best broker moment (so far): Building a yacht for a client and navigating from contract to delivery
Favourite all time yacht: The 97m Feadship SOPHIA
Best secret anchorage: Not so secret but Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat is stunning and in the middle of all the South of France action
Best place to arrive by yacht: Monaco
Charles' favourite yacht for sale: NO DESTINATION
‘She’s a beautiful and rugged, true explorer yacht with all the comforts one would expect in a luxury yacht. Her large aft deck A-frame crane allows her to lift all her oversized tenders and toys including a 28ft Custom Munson tender, 5.5m Zodiac, two Sea-Doo Sparks, 16ft Catamaran… all of which are included in the sale!’
NO DESTINATION is 37.5m (123ft) explorer yacht that masterfully combines expedition capability with superyacht luxury. Originally built by Damen in 2009 and transformed through a 30-month rebuild in 2022, she now offers striking design by Azure Yacht Design, custom interiors, and charter compliance.
With expansive outdoor spaces – including a jacuzzi foredeck, multiple al fresco dining areas, and a versatile aft deck – she’s perfect for adventure-filled cruising. Inside, guests can unwind in relaxed, welcoming lounges across two decks.
