The Burgess guide to the 2026 sailing regatta calendar
Sold: 55.7m GALILEO G
Published 18 octobre 2019
The sale of GALILEO G is more proof of the growing demand for yachts that can go anywhere and do anything. Under her previous ownership, the 55.7m (182.7ft) Vitruvius ice-classed yacht GALILEO G, delivered in 2011 by Picchiotti, part of the Perini Navi Group, has been everywhere from frozen polar wastes of the Northwest Passage to the exotic islands and shifting shoals of Indonesia.
The yacht, whose build was project managed by Burgess New Construction, has a 9,000nm range and huge produce storage capacity. This enabled her to make the 28-day non-stop passage from New Zealand to Panama during her first circumnavigation.
