Mia Shellem is a Retail Charter and Office Assistant in the Burgess Palm Beach office. Originally from Tampa, Florida, Mia earned her degree in Marketing from Palm Beach Atlantic University and has called Palm Beach home for the past five years. Prior to joining Burgess, Mia worked as a family assistant to prominent Palm Beach clients, an experience that provided her with an in-depth understanding of the destination’s distinctive lifestyle and highly discerning clientele. Through this experience, she developed an extensive knowledge of the area’s private clubs, hospitality offerings, and local community, while cultivating a valuable network of relationships throughout Palm Beach.

Having grown up on the water, Mia has always had a natural connection to the yachting lifestyle. Her passion for travel has taken her to destinations around the world, including a period of study abroad in Singapore, broadening her perspective and appreciation for different cultures and experiences. She brings this first-hand understanding of luxury travel, combined with her marketing background and knowledge of Palm Beach, to her role at Burgess. Outside of the office, Mia enjoys traveling and discovering new destinations, spending time on the water, skiing, and playing padel.
