Upamanyu joined the Yacht Management team in August 2023, bringing with him a wealth of experience in yachting and competitive sailing. Upamanyu comes from a family of yachtsmen. His parents run the largest yacht brokerage in India and have provided him with extensive experience in the luxury yacht market from a young age.
Upamanyu started sailing at the age of eight and has won several national and international competitions in various classes of boats. Upamanyu’s passion for sailing and problem-solving led him to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering, focusing on fluid mechanics at the University of Southern California. Upamanyu continued his Olympic sailing campaign while simultaneously completing his engineering degree and was set to join Burgess after graduating.
