Delivered in 2011 by the Italian shipyard Codecasa, ATLAS is a 51m (167.3ft) motor yacht built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure constructed to Lloyd’s classification and MCA compliance. With a contemporary interior by Franco and Anna Della Role, ATLAS features a sleek exterior design by the yard’s in-house team with a distinctive silver superstructure and white hull.
ATLAS’ warm interior welcomes up to 14 guests in six well-appointed cabins. The full-beam owner’s suite is forward on the main deck and features a private study with a fold-down sea terrace to starboard. Aft of the owner’s suite is a VIP cabin with large port-side windows and a private en suite bathroom. Two double cabins and two twin cabins, all en suite, can be found on the lower deck.
An elevator serves all four decks, connecting the guest accommodation and the entertaining spaces. The main saloon and sky lounge are finished with warm woodwork and light soft goods creating stylish and comfortable gathering areas. There is an inside-outside formal dining room on the bridge deck aft with excellent views through a semi-circle of sliding glass doors.
ATLAS’ oversized sun deck proves to be a favourite with a large jacuzzi and sunpad area forward, dayhead and elevator in the mast structure, and a full wet bar with versatile lounge area aft. Additional entertaining areas include a Portuguese bridge with a circular settee and built-in table for enjoying forward facing views while underway, and a large lounging area on the main deck aft. On the lower deck aft is a spacious tender garage with a fold-up transom door and a good-sized swim platform.
Powered by twin 2,447hp Caterpillar diesel engines, ATLAS has a cruising speed of 14 knots and a maximum speed of 17.5 knots, with a transatlantic range of 6,400nm and zero speed stabilisers for comfort on arrival. Well maintained with a high operational budget, ATLAS is turn-key and ready for new ownership.
