Beyond 'super': unique yacht design with Burgess
The top yachts at Monaco Yacht Show with the Burgess New Build team
Published 01 septembre 2025
Monaco Yacht Show brings together the best of the yachting industry – from sales and charter to new construction. This year, the world’s leading shipyards will be showcasing their latest launches and most exciting models, inspiring anyone considering their own build journey.
We spoke with Rory Boyle, Partner and Head of New Build Sales at Burgess, about why visiting the show alongside our new build specialists is so worthwhile – and his top shipyard picks to see while you’re there.
‘The Burgess New Build team is dedicated to guiding clients through every step of creating their dream yacht – from developing the concept and negotiating with shipyards, to overseeing the build and supporting once the yacht is delivered. We make sure the process is enjoyable, efficient and cost-effective, while ensuring the final result is exactly what you envisioned.
‘You’ll also benefit from the expertise of Burgess Technical Services (BTS), who have overseen the construction of more than 60 yachts. Whether it’s a fully bespoke project or refining a proven shipyard platform, our oversight during contracts and throughout construction ensures no detail is overlooked.'
'Monaco Yacht Show is the perfect opportunity to meet our teams and explore yachts first-hand. We accompany you throughout your visits, offering insight into how different yachts compare, what suits your vision, and which shipyards might be the best fit. With our expertise by your side, we help you evaluate what works best for you.
‘If you’re considering building or refitting a yacht, or even just beginning to explore the idea, we would be delighted to speak with you and show how we can help turn your vision into reality.’
Rory's pick of the yachts at the show
Amels – HERE COMES THE SUN (89m, 291.9ft)
Burgess has a decades-long relationship with Amels, and HERE COMES THE SUN is a true icon of Dutch craftsmanship. On the market with Burgess, she stands out not only for her scale and elegance – having been extended to 89 m in a 2021 refit – but also for thoughtful technical enhancements. The rebuild, which earned her 'Best Rebuilt Yacht' in 2022, expanded her living spaces and introduced two new VIP suites, a 7 m counter-current pool, upgraded beach club, helipad, and updated design throughout. Add in an energy-efficient HVAC system that leverages waste heat, and she’s as clever as she is stunning – making HERE COMES THE SUN a compelling presence at any yacht show.
Feadship – BREAKTHROUGH (118.8m, 389.9ft)
The largest and one of the most impressive launches from RVLS (Feadship), with immaculate surfacing by RWD who also designed the interior. This technically advanced yacht incorporates cutting-edge hydrogen power systems and represents the very latest in yacht innovation.
Admiral – AMALAYA (77m, 252.6ft)
Built by Admiral – The Italian Sea Group, with interiors by Sinot, AMALAYA impresses with her dramatic ceiling heights and refined Italian craftsmanship. Beneath her striking lines lies an advanced hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system, featuring azimuth pods and a lithium-polymer battery bank that enables silent, zero-emission cruising for hours. Her exhaust system is cleverly routed through the mast – enhancing on board air quality and reducing environmental impact. She’s a remarkable example of Admiral’s capability worth stepping on board.
Damen – NO DESTINATION (37.5m, 123ft)
For those interested in explorer yachts, the Damen NO DESTINATION highlights the shipyard’s exceptional refit capabilities. Rebuilt from the hull up over the course of 30 months, she merges industrial strength with high-spec superyacht comfort. Still packing a 3,500nm range and serious deck space for toys, tenders, or subs, she’s now just as comfortable hosting guests as she is supporting an expedition.
Benetti – B.NOW 67
Benetti are well known for their excellent range of semi-custom platforms, and the Burgess New Build Sales and Technical Services teams work closely with them, including two recent deliveries over the summer – 50m XWAVE and 44m FORTITUDE1. These two projects were overseen by the New Build team onsite in Italy.
Cantiere Delle Marche – FLEXPLORER (49.9m, 163.7ft)
Burgess Technical Services is overseeing a 50m Flexplorer at this innovative Italian shipyard. A robust and flexible platform, it’s designed to adapt to a wide range of owner lifestyles and configurations.
