Spanning six decks, AKULA is purpose-built for exploration and discovery. She has been equipped for scientific research, with dynamic positioning, on board labs and workshops, and has already hosted researchers on board. Substantial storage allows for tenders up to 9 metres, while a heavy-duty crane can carry large equipment or even a small submarine.

Her bold, masculine exterior contrasts with a warm and inviting interior by FM Architettura.
