Description

At 59.4m (194.1ft), AKULA is Rossinavi’s first explorer yacht and a striking example of next-generation design. Instantly recognisable by her scarlet-red profile and aptly named after the Ukrainian word for ‘shark’, she is engineered for serious global exploration without compromising comfort.

Ice Class certified and built to RINA Green Plus standards, AKULA is designed for resilience in polar and remote regions. Her advanced diesel-electric propulsion delivers low-impact cruising, reduced noise and vibration, and an impressive range of over 8,000nm at her cruising speed of 12 knots.

Spanning six decks, AKULA is purpose-built for exploration and discovery. She has been equipped for scientific research, with dynamic positioning, on board labs and workshops, and has already hosted researchers on board. Substantial storage allows for tenders up to 9 metres, while a heavy-duty crane can carry large equipment or even a small submarine.

Her bold, masculine exterior contrasts with a warm and inviting interior by FM Architettura. Organic forms, soft textures and eco-conscious materials such as rattan wall coverings and naturally finished leather create a calm, homely atmosphere. The layout deliberately breaks with convention: rather than a formal main lounge, the upper deck lounge serves as the social heart of the yacht, offering panoramic views and a constant connection to the environment.

Also on the upper deck is a dedicated wellness area with gym, sauna, massage room and heated pool. Forward, the observation lounge is a standout feature, part enclosed and part open-air, complete with a firepit for evenings under the stars.

Outdoor living is equally well considered, with generous dining and seating aft on the upper deck and a crow’s nest offering exceptional vantage points.

AKULA accommodates up to 10 guests in five cabins, all located on the main deck, including an owner’s suite, three double cabins and a twin cabin, plus one convertible study. A true explorer in every sense, AKULA is uniquely positioned for owners seeking long-range adventure, scientific capability and understated comfort in the world’s most remote destinations.
