Description
Designed by acclaimed naval architect Dubois and built by Alloy Yachts in New Zealand, the 40m yacht AURA is only in her second ownership where she has just seen a major yard period, including full Lloyds-class survey and complete interior upgrade, that’s left her looking and feeling like a completely new yacht.
With exterior design and naval architecture by Dubois Naval Architects, AURA yacht for sale is a semi-displacement commercial yacht, which is fully MCA compliant, with an aluminium hull and superstructure and solid, practical engineering. As part of her 20-year Special Survey, AURA motor yacht completed a full mechanical restoration, which included overhauling and servicing all her systems, and an entire hull polish. Powered by twin 1450hp Caterpillar engines, she has a top speed of 16.5 knots and cruises comfortably at 12 knots. At an economical speed of 10 knots she has a transatlantic range of 4,000nm, and she is fitted with stabilisers for a smoother sailing experience.
AURA yacht’s expansive sun deck has been given a complete refresh for 2026, with new seating covers and a chic sunbathing area around the newly installed Jacuzzi, which together with the barbecue area and lounge will ensure this is a hotspot for sunkissed soirees. Meanwhile, the main deck salon, with its formal dining space and elegant lounge connects seamlessly to the large aft deck, where a dining table for 10 is the perfect setting for alfresco lunches and sunset dinners, while the bar and curved bench seat create a relaxed spot for cocktail hour. With floor-length windows throughout, the connection to the sea is maintained wherever you are on AURA yacht, and the large swim platform makes boarding some of the many water toys a breeze.
AURA yacht’s Donald Starkey Designs interiors have been reimagined to include new soft furnishings and carpets, as well as brand-new furniture for 2025. AURA yacht can accommodate 10 + 1 guests across five luxurious cabins, including an Owner’s suite forward on the main deck, with a private study and marble finished floors and surfaces in the en suite. The rest of the guest accommodation includes two double cabins, a twin and a convertible cabin with two Pullman bunks on the lower deck.
