Guests can choose between living areas on three decks. The main deck houses the main saloon and dining area. The modern white interior here sets the tone for the rest of the yacht. White gloss surfaces and pale seating are offset by vivid colours in rugs and cushions. Minimalist contours and futuristic lighting complete the look, from the portfolio of interior designer Francesco Paskowski.
The upper deck has a sky lounge, which lends itself to being a cosy snug and TV room, and a huge aft deck for outdoor relaxation and open air dining. This deck has a sit-up bar, dining table, plus built-in sofas to sit 12 comfortably - this is the spot to take in the views. Stairs lead to the decks above and below. The sun deck is purely for fun with another bar, sun loungers and jacuzzi – this is the party deck. All the decks have a call bell to summon a steward.
BARAKA sleeps 12 guests in six cabins and has separate quarters for 12 crew. The owner’s suite is quite special, comprising five rooms forward on the main deck. Enter the owner’s lobby first, which leads into a dedicated office, next to a private lounge (which can be converted into a cabin with an extra berth). The main full beam 9.6m (31.5ft) cabin features a bed the width of two doubles, plus a luxury en suite with a free-standing bath and his and her showers.
Four equal-sized double guest cabins are found on the lower deck, radiating off the central staircase. These stairs wrap around an elevator and are lit from above through a skylight in the sun deck. This yacht has been designed with a mobility boarding ladder and allows wheelchair access to all decks.
The toys are found in the transom garage, plus there is a crane to launch the 7.4m (12ft) tender from the sun deck. Water toys include an inflatable kayak with a clear bottom to view the ocean below, snorkelling gear, wakeboards and waterskis.
Fitted with the most modern equipment, zero speed Quantum stabilisers, and four generators, BARAKA is an ocean-going MCA compliant vessel.
