The fifth and largest superyacht built by SilverYachts, the 85m (278.9ft) BOLD is a showcase of the highly successful collaboration between the Australian yard and renowned designer Espen Øino. A fast world explorer vessel with the luxurious finish of a superyacht, her design is quite unique and lives up to her name. Powered by twin MTU 16V4000 M73L engines, BOLD’s all-aluminium hull powers through the sea at speeds of up to 24 knots. She was, however, built for long-range cruising, and has a 5,000nm range when running at a more comfortable speed of 18 knots.

Further enhancing BOLD’s exploration qualities, the highly optimised hull form and low draft of 2.7m allow for both low fuel consumption and access to shallow waters usually off limits to yachts of her size. She also has a certified helipad with built-in lighting for night-time operations.

BOLD’s commanding, angular exterior lines personify the best in modern contemporary naval architecture and her aggressive profile is further enhanced by the 300m2 loft-style space on the upper deck, completely surrounded by full-height windows. Here, and throughout all her guest areas, stylists Sabrina Monte-Carlo worked closely with the SilverYachts in-house design team and designers Vain Interiors to create a light and contemporary interior that is both luxurious and functional. Stylish teak and oak panelling, metallic painted features, oak and marble floors and her full height windows combine to create an elegant and comfortable atmosphere. Eight suites include a master suite with direct access to the exterior deck areas, three VIP staterooms and four double cabins, sleeping a total of 16 guests.

The yacht has all the usual requirements of a yacht of this size. From her large al fresco entertaining areas, sun deck jacuzzi, sumptuous lounging areas and large outdoor cinema set-up to a stunning winter garden with a retractable glass panel providing weather protection when required, everything is generously proportioned with big open spaces for sports and entertaining.
