Description

IMPROMPTU is a 50-metre (164ft) full custom tri-deck yacht with a semi-displacement hull form. Built by Trinity Yachts, she was delivered in 2011 and refitted in 2022. Her naval architecture and exterior design are by Trinity’s in-house designer Geoff van Aller. She is constructed in aluminium throughout, to ABS classification and is reported to be in exceptional condition.

Notable features include a split-level master suite with spectacular 180-degree views and a custom waterfall jacuzzi on the sundeck that can accommodate 12 people.

Her sundeck has a hardtop over its midships section with bar and dining areas plus a day heads beneath. There’s built-in lounge seating forward, the extra-large jacuzzi pool aft and an open deck with sun loungers astern.

The upper aft deck is partially shaded by the sundeck overhang. There’s a 12-seat round dining table here and a lounge area aft in full sun. The main deck aft is a spacious lounge with a bar, sofas, armchairs and banquette seating astern. Steps lead down both sides of the transom to a large, integrated bathing platform.

Her 490GT interior is arranged to host 12 guests in six cabins. The design scheme by Patrick Knowles is a showcase of ornate, finely crafted woodwork. On the upper deck there’s a VIP double guest cabin as well as a captain’s cabin between the bridge and the skylounge, which has a games table, bar and L-shaped sofa. The main deck saloon is open plan with a piano in the lounge area and a half-height bulkhead with pillars separating it from the formal dining area. The wine cellar is an impressive feature in the main foyer, amidships.

The master suite has a raised observation lounge forward, study area and large en suite with bath and shower. The other four guest cabins – three doubles and a twin – are amidships on the lower deck.

She carries her guest tender and PWCs in the transom garage. The inventory of toys includes three new Waverunners, two SeaBobs, two e-foil boards, four e-bikes and a floating beach club pool.

Powered by a pair of 2,250hp Caterpillar 3512B diesels, she cruises at 16.5kts with a top speed of 18.5kts. She completed her 10-year ABS survey in 2020, including overhauls of her main engines and generators. Refit works in 2022 included a full exterior paint job, new air conditioning and sewage treatment systems, a new ASEA shore power converter and a major A/V and wi-fi upgrade. She is MCA and ISM compliant.
