Description
KEMOSABE is a Westport 112, delivered in 2007. Like most Westport yachts she is designed, engineered and styled in house, and has a fibreglass hull and superstructure. Her overall length is 34.1m (112ft) with a beam of 7.2m (23.5ft) and 1.7m (5.5ft) draft.
The exterior styling is classic Westport with crisp lines, a gentle positive sheer and a graceful bow profile. One of her key features is the hardtop flybridge with settees and daybeds, a helm station, jacuzzi and bar. This is set above a raised bridge with an open air boat deck astern, equipped with a crane for launching the tender over the port side.
Down on the main deck level there’s horseshoe-shaped seating set into the foredeck and a lounge aft shaded by the overhang of the deck above. She has large side windows on the main deck and traditional portholes down below.
Inside she features the updated accommodation layout and is finished in satin walnut panels and trim with onyx countertops, stainless steel fixtures and a cream-coloured carpet throughout. The main deck accommodation comprises a roomy saloon aft with four large fixed windows on both sides, a formal dining room with custom furniture amidships and a well-equipped galley up front with a dinette and breakfast bar for convivial, informal dining.
All cabins including the master suite are located on the lower deck. There are two large full beam suites for the owner and VIP guests and two further guest cabins, one double and one twin. The separate accommodation for the captain and five crew is in the stern, aft of the engine room.
The 112’s semi displacement hull form is designed for fast passage speeds and with a combined power output of 4,000hp, KEMOSABE’s twin MTU 16V2000 diesel engines achieve a cruising speed of 22 knots, a top speed of 26 knots and a maximum range of 2,500nm. Her tender is a 4.6m RIB with a 90hp outboard and she has Naiad stabilisers.
