Description
A 40-metre (130ft) semi-displacement yacht with three decks of accommodation, SINBAD was custom built in fibreglass by Hatteras in 1995. She has been regularly updated with interior, exterior and mechanical refit work throughout the last seven years.
Her interior is configured to host up to 10 overnight guests on board in five cabins with separate quarters for six crew in three cabins.
There’s an observation deck up top with a hot tub, a flybridge helm and a hardtop for shelter and shade, with a hydraulic stair lift for access. Down one level, there’s a snug full-beam skylounge behind the bridge, facing aft onto the spacious, open-air boat deck, which has plenty of sociable seating, a daylight-viewable outdoor TV, BBQ grill and davits to deploy her tender. The lower aft deck is fully shaded and set up for outdoor dining.
The open plan saloon is more than 40ft long with a marble-topped bar, built-in lounge seating, and a formal dining area. Large lateral windows let in lots of natural light.
The master cabin was substantially updated in 2017 – and again in 2021. It is a full-beam suite located forward on the main deck with a king size bed on the centreline, walk-in closet and dressing area, shower room and his-and-hers toilets. The other four guest cabins are amidships on the lower deck: three queen size doubles and one set up with twin beds, each with ample stowage and a private WC and shower en suite.
Propelled by 2,400hp twin Detroit Diesel 16V 149DDEC engines, she cruises at 14kts with a top speed of around 22kts.
