Description

RISK & REWARD is a 37-metre (120ft) motor yacht with a raised pilothouse, a mezzanine flybridge and two main decks of guest accommodation. Built in fibreglass by Crescent Yachts of Vancouver, Canada with a semi-displacement hull designed by Jack Sarin, she was delivered in 2004 and extensively refitted in 2020-21. Further upgrades and works were completed in 2022.

The recent refit works include new zero speed stabilisers, a new flybridge enclosure, upgraded entertainment and navigational systems, a major service of both engines, new exterior and interior furniture, a completely new galley, overhauls and rebuilds of key mechanical and technical systems, a full repaint and much more.

The front half of the flybridge is raised, with a hardtop above and it can be enclosed on three sides with screens. There are three helm seats up front with full bridge controls, and mirror-image dining/lounge areas to port and starboard with L-shaped settees and high-gloss varnished tables. Three steps lead aft from here to the lower level of the top deck, where there’s a sit-up bar with a barbecue grill to port, a jacuzzi to starboard and sunpads on both sides. There’s another double sunbed aft, plus a davit crane and stowage for two jet skis.

One level down on the main deck, covered companionways lead forward from the aft cockpit, which has a sit-up bar and built-in banquette seats with a dining table, to the foredeck where there’s a settee and a double sunpad built into the front of the coachroof.

Her interior is bright and elegant, with finely crafted and detailed mahogany joinery offset by white headlining and cream carpets. The main saloon has a spacious lounge aft and an eight-seat dining table forward, beneath an ornately detailed ceiling. A foyer leads forward on the starboard side to the galley, which has a dinette for informal meals, and a spiral staircase leads down to the guest cabins on the lower deck.

The full-beam master suite is a showcase of fine classic joinery with a king size bed on the centreline, a study desk and sofa, ample stowage in mahogany drawers, lockers and cabinets, and the same high quality of finish in its en suite bathroom. The lower deck foyer and three other guest cabins are furnished in the same style, also with a notably high standard of finish.

Powered by twin MTU 16V 2000 diesels with a combined 4,000hp, she cruises at 17kts with a top speed of 21kts.
