Description

A 50.5-metre quad-deck explorer yacht from Italy’s Mondomarine shipyard, TRIBU was delivered in 2007. Her highlights include a dedicated owner’s deck with a very large master suite, a hull designed for all-weather seakeeping and a high-volume interior.

A full custom design with serious ocean expedition capability and exterior styling by Luca Dini, she is constructed in steel with a bulb keel hull configuration and aluminium superstructure. She is both MCA and ISM compliant.

Her top deck is open and used primarily for stowage of small craft. The sundeck is on the bridge deck level, with wing stations and full walk-around decks connecting an open-air lounge in a Portuguese bridge on the forward coachroof and an aft-facing deck which has a square jacuzzi pool and two double sunbeds.

The next level down is the owner’s deck, where a huge outside space faces aft with a 12-seat dining table and snug seating area in the shade of the sundeck overhang and a large, sociable lounge further aft with a steel-framed awning for shade. There is also a sunbathing zone with four sunbeds and a dedicated stowage space for the main guest tender astern. The main deck aft is an open space with a large daybed and more small craft stowage.

She offers a total 783 GT of internal volume, with interior design by Studio Lissoni and accommodation arranged on four main levels. She is designed to host up to 12 guests in six cabins – the master cabin on its own deck plus four doubles and a twin located forward on the main deck – with separate quarters for 13 crew. The décor is clean and contemporary with white vertical surfaces and dark hardwood floors. The main deck saloon is a huge open plan space with three separate lounge areas and a games table.

The owner’s suite includes a separate office and a very large en suite bathroom clad in black marble with twin sinks, a rain room shower and a free standing bathtub. The master cabin has a forward-facing bed, a lounge area and stunning panoramic views forward and on both sides through a grand sweep of picture windows.

Up on the bridge deck there is a gym that opens out onto the sundeck and a captain’s cabin next to the wheelhouse. With all the guest cabins on the main deck, the entire lower deck is dedicated to crew accommodation and service areas.

Powered by a single Deutz diesel engine, she cruises at 12kts with a trans-oceanic range of 6,000 miles and a top speed of 15kts.
