Built in 1931, the CROCE DEL SUD 43m (141ft) is more than 90 years old, has been owned by the same aristocratic family for all of that time, and is offered for charter in glorious original condition with her last major refit in 2022. She carries eight guests in sumptuous traditional luxury with service from a crew of 10. A three-masted topsail schooner with an immense and dramatic spread of sail, CROCE DEL SUD still has her original masts and yards. Her sailing systems have been adapted with modern technology – but while carefully conserving most of her historic features. Great efforts have been made to preserve the look, feel and soul of this unique vessel while boosting her efficiency and elevating the level of comfort on board. She now has full air conditioning and good wi-fi Internet connectivity throughout.

Guests who are keen sailors can join the crew and experience the thrill of handling this huge, powerful thoroughbred sailing machine, trimming the sails and perhaps even taking the helm under the supervision of her expert skipper. But she’s equally ideal for a charter party who just want to relax and enjoy their holiday on the water while watching the crew work the yacht.

She offers outside and inside areas for lounging and dining, with two antique deckhouses and a spacious interior on the lower deck. Two of the five guest cabins are doubles with en suite bathrooms. The other three cabins are twins, one with a private en suite bathroom – the other two share a bathroom and have pullman bunks.

She carries two tenders plus a fleet of kayaks, canoes and paddleboards.
