Are two hulls better than one? This 16m (53ft) EXPLORION cruising catamaran makes a very strong case for that point of view. You get a much wider, more stable platform than any monohull of equivalent length – she’s as wide as many 30m (100ft) yachts – so there’s a lot more living space, including a large master suite and a vast, open main deck lounge with panoramic views. Her fuel consumption at cruising speed is a lot lower, so she’s a more eco-friendly option, and there is no rolling motion at sea or when she’s anchored in a bay.
- New to the charter market
- Shaded deck and dining areas
- A crew with local expertise

EXPLORION is designed to host up to eight guests on board in four double cabins, all of which have private en suite bathrooms, with service from a crew of three. Key features include her full-beam master suite on the main deck, an outdoor bar and multiple open-air dining spaces, state-of-the-art entertainment systems and a cinema system on the flybridge. There’s also a sunbathing zone on the forward coachroof.
Her flybridge is a great social hub where guests can gather while cruising from one destination to the next, with 360° panoramic views and a hardtop above providing shade. There are observation seats up front, a lounge-dining area amidships, a fridge and barbecue grill, and sunloungers facing astern. Companionways on both sides of the flybridge lead around it and forward to the sunpads and seats on the coachroof, and steps lead down to the main deck aft cockpit where there’s a sit-up bar and banquette seats with a table.
Another great exterior feature is the stern platform, which can be lowered right down to sea level in an anchorage to provide a beach club area with two day beds and an excellent launch pad for watersports toys. She carries a RIB tender with an inflatable tow, a wakeboard and waterskis for adults and kids, plus SeaBob and Scubajet underwater scooters, paddleboards, fishing gear, snorkelling gear and more.
The main deck lounge is one of her star attractions. It’s bright, airy and broad, with an abundance of lounge seating around a table, and can swiftly be converted into a very spacious inside dining area. There’s also a very well-appointed galley. At the forward end of the lounge, a door leads into the master cabin where you’ll have a large island bed, a panoramic sea view, a big TV and a spacious en suite bathroom. The other three cabins are all good sized doubles, furnished and finished in the same contemporary style.
