Tom joined the Burgess Charter Management team in early 2018, bringing with him valuable experience from the yachting department at a different firm and an immediate enthusiasm for the industry. He quickly established himself as a highly valued member of the team, recognised for his strong commercial instinct, determination, and ability to successfully convert opportunities into lasting client relationships.

Today, Tom manages some of the most prestigious yachts in the Burgess charter fleet, including two vessels exceeding 80m in length, while also playing a key role in the company’s new business initiatives. His fleet spans the globe, from the iconic cruising grounds of the Mediterranean and Caribbean to the more remote waters of the Indian Ocean, Southeast Asia, and French Polynesia. This breadth of experience has given him an exceptional understanding of the world’s leading yachting destinations and the unique experiences each has to offer.

Reflecting on the highlights of his career to date, Tom points to two especially memorable experiences. 'One was spending time on board with an owner in my favourite cruising region, Greece,' he says. 'The other was hosting an extraordinary event on board a yacht during a major boat show, which ultimately contributed to a record-breaking charter season for the vessel.'

Tom’s interest in yachting stems from his family, which he affectionately describes as 'boating mad'. Growing up in East Anglia, many of his childhood holidays were spent on the Isle of Wight in or around the water. Though he now lives in London, he can often be found escaping to the countryside or the coast to get out on the water with friends and family.
