Vera comes from Kefalonia, Greece, and lives in Athens. She holds a bachelor's degree in operations management from the American College of Greece, starting her marine career working for a shipping company as a technical assistant coordinator.

She then pivoted to superyachts, joining Burgess in 2024 as her first step into the yachting industry. Working as an assistant across both the Charter Management and Retail Charter departments, Vera assists with six yachts – five based in the Burgess Greece fleet, and one located in Singapore (OCTAVE). Helping the teams with yachts spanning from 32m all the way up to 72m, the largest she assists with is the 71.7m KOGO – a true standout across Greek charter yachts.

In her time at Burgess so far, Vera cites the company’s unique culture of collaboration as a true highlight. 'The collaboration with both my team in Athens and the wider Burgess team is something I truly value in my role here. This is felt particularly strongly at boat shows where I’m reconnecting with Burgess colleagues from across the globe.'

And her favourite boat show? 'Definitely the Mediterranean Yacht Show, which I attended both in 2025 and 2026, and hope to continue going to each year. It’s such an important event in the industry with some of the best charter yachts on display, and every time I attend it reminds me why I love working in yachting.'

Vera spends much of her free time dancing, as well as enjoying activities such as sea and mountain skiing.
