Ryan is a Director of Burgess Crew Services in Guernsey, bringing more than 18 years’ legal, regulatory and commercial experience across multiple jurisdictions. He has expertise in governance, dispute resolution, employment, regulatory matters and commercial affairs.

Before joining Burgess, Ryan led the legal and corporate governance function at a leading fiduciary, with responsibility for governance, regulatory oversight and in-house legal support. His earlier career included dispute resolution roles with Guernsey law firms, following his qualification and legal practice in South Africa.

Ryan is admitted as a Solicitor in England and Wales and as an Attorney in South Africa. He brings a practical, commercially focused approach to complex matters, balancing sound judgement with an understanding of client priorities. As a Director of Burgess Crew Services, Ryan helps lead the business in delivering payroll and HR services for superyachts within the Burgess fleet, with a focus on trusted relationships, reliable service and practical solutions.
