As a North Carolina native, Emily spent most of her summers on the coast so her love for the sea and adventure developed at an early age. After graduating with a degree in economics she went on to obtain a dual Master's degree from North Carolina State University and SKEMA Business School in Global Luxury Management. It was during her studies in Antibes that she was first introduced to the yachting industry. Before joining Burgess, Emily worked for Condé Nast supporting the advertising campaigns for multiple titles including Condé Nast Traveler, Architectural Digest and Bon Appétit. 

When Emily's not exploring New York City, she enjoys traveling and is always planning her trip back to the coast.
