The 32.9m (108ft) cutter-rigged aluminium sloop SEAQUELL, is and was designed by Dubois Naval Architects with interiors by Agnes Comar. She was built to ABS classification and delivered by New Zealand's Alloy Yachts in 1992 and had a winter refit in 2012-13.
Steps from the swim platform lead up to the aft deck where a six-person jacuzzi is located. The jacuzzi is covered when not in use, giving more deck space. The helm position, with twin wheels, is two steps up from the aft deck. Forward of the wheels is the yacht's spacious and covered centre cockpit. The large cockpit gives the option for al fresco dining and leads to the raised saloon. Forward of the cockpit, on the coachroof, is elevated seating. The yacht tender is stowed on the foredeck, once launched, this become versatile deck space.
Stepping in from the cockpit to the raised saloon, one is met by panoramic views courtesy of the large wraparound windows. There are sofa seating and an interior helm steering position and navigation centre. Steps down lead to the main lower saloon. To starboard is long C-shaped bench seating with occasional tables. Opposite, is the formal dining area. Forward of this area of the galley and crew quarters.
Steps from the saloon lead down to the lower deck accommodation where she sleeps six guests in three cabins. To starboard is a convertible twin cabin and to port is a double cabin with a queen sized island bed. Both guest cabins are en suite with granite floor and counter services renewed in the 2013 refit. Further aft is the full beam owner's suite with a king sized double island berth, writing desk, and sofa. The en suite heads compartment also includes a steam shower.
SEAQUELL’s Nautica tender, with 90hp outboard engine, is stored on the foredeck when not required. She also has with two sea kayaks, wakeboards and inflatable stand up paddleboards.
When not under sail, her 570hp single inboard Lugger turbo diesel gives her a cruising speed of 10 knots, with a maximum speed of 13 knots. Her 19,500-litre fuel tank gives her range under power of 4,000nm.
