Your charter party will find five guest suites to sleep up to 12, each sumptuous with deep carpets and silky-soft bedding in neutral tones. You wake up in the chic master suite, open the blinds and sunlight streams through large picture windows. Take the time to step onto your own fold-down balcony and drink in views. Have a private breakfast here, suspended over the waves, or head to the upper deck to join your family and friends.

Cruising is at its most glamorous in the Mediterranean: taking in markets and stylish shopping, legendary nightlife or ancient antiquities. With so much on offer, of course there is much to discuss over breakfast! The children want to try the watertoys and the crew have the beach club open on the lower deck, just a step down to the swim platform. Others are going to take one of the tenders ashore.

For those staying aboard the sun loungers and sofas beckon on the aft deck – plus there’s that infinity pool on the foredeck. The coastline towers above the yacht and those gone ashore are hiking to cliff-top restaurant where you’ll all meet for lunch later – but first you want to hone your skills on a wakeboard.

The crew have extended the beach club with fold-down wings lowered into place on each side. The club is light and airy as the breeze whispers from the sea through the open space. Off the full beam swimming platform, the children are diving into the inflatable anti-jellyfish pool tethered astern.

After your cliff-top lunch a taxi brings you to the harbour where the MA tender is waiting to ferry you aboard. The main deck saloon is a cool, luxurious sanctuary from the afternoon heat. Showing off modern Italian design, this room could well be found on the cover of a magazine, with floor-to-ceiling windows that slide back to reveal uninterrupted views on all three sides.

MA cruises at 20 knots, with a top speed of 26 knots, so the captain makes good time along the coast. You take the opportunity to join him on the bridge as the yacht demonstrates what she can do. The next port offers new excitements, but first it’s time for sundowners, and the mixologist is busy at the bar.
