The timeless 154-foot Perini Navi ANDROMEDA LA DEA is a magic blend of classic hull lines and traditional yachting ambiance, with modern sail handling systems, machinery and electronics and communication equipment.

Since her original launch in 1990 as one of the world’s largest and most technologically advanced sailing yachts, ANDROMEDA LA DEA has been in the best care with consistent upgrades, including three major refits, which have maintained her excellent condition.

In 2000, after her first circumnavigation and a decade of cruising, ANDROMEDA LA DEA underwent a comprehensive refit and rebuild of all operating systems, plus a thorough updated of sail-handling systems. During her 2004 refit in Italy, further improvements were carried out including extension of the flybridge to allow for a custom Jacuzzi and sundeck area, plus a fixed awning over the after deck. Interior décor also was completely revamped. At this time, hull lights were added, which illuminate the waters surrounding the yacht, to dramatic affect.

ANDROMEDA LA DEA underwent another comprehensive refit in New Zealand in 2006. All new engines and generators were installed, she received all new Doyle Sails, all captive reel winches were upgraded to hydraulic, a new hydraulic retractable passarelle was installed, as was a new audio-visual system.

As part of her 2008 refit, all standing rigging and fittings were replaced with a new cathodic protection system, new batteries, replaced aft cockpit awning , two new Lewmar Hydraulic open drum spinnaker winches installed, new tender and two Laser sailing dinghies added, plus overhauls of the air conditioning and refrigeration systems.

In 2011, ANDROMEDA completed her 20-year ABS Special Survey. In addition, all of her motors and pumps were serviced, her drive shafts pulled and inspected and various steel plating and stringers were replaced. The hull and superstructure were painted with Awlgrip and she received new bulwark sheathing and lighting.

ANDROMEDA LA DEA has had benefit of all technological advances that have been achieved in yachting since her original launch. She has been maintained and consistently improved, to perfection.
